NIR-SWIR Absorption Spectrophotometer

An ultimate fluorometer designed for Vis-NIR-SWIR spectral range (300-1600 nm). The custom system built by Horiba in 2011 is one of the most sophisticated fluorimeters in the world


Key features include:

  • T shape geometry, dual housing lamp with CW and flash tube Xe lamps, a double-grating excitation monochromator, front face and right angle fluorescence in solution and solids      

  • Four high-sensitivity Vis-NIR-SWIR detectors, Fluorescence/phosphorescence lifetime TCSPC module with Xe subsecond strobe, nanosecond NanoLeds, picoseconds Delta pulsed sources. 

  • Automated polarizers for both S and T sides and a manual polarizer for lifetime measurements.

  • Fiberoptically connected external 6” integrating sphere to measure quantum yields of solids, liquids, powders, and thin films.

  • Fiberoptically connected microscope Olympus BX51 with a variety of cameras, DIC options, and filtercubes.

  • External stopped flow unit for measuring rapid kinetics of chemical reactions.

One of the most reliable fluorescent spectrophotometers in the world built by ISS inc. Upgraded in 2016

  • Emission 200-850 nm.

  • Frequency domain lifetime measurement,

  • T-format and parallel beam optical design for fast polarization measurements

  • Full automation of all instrument components (cuvette holder, polarizers, shutters, filterwheel, monochromators, and stirrers),

  • PC-controlled temperature from -20 to 120oC

UV-VIS-NIR-SWIR Hyperspectral Imager

The pushbroom system (200 nm to 1650 nm) custom built for our lab by Middleton Inc.

Key features:

  • High spatial resolution (640 x 512) in UV, VIS, NIR and SWIR

  • Optimal spectral resolution 5 nm.

  • Chromatic aberration free (except the UV).

  • Speed - < 1 min 

A unique spectrophotometer developed in our lab. Combines electrochemistry with fluorescence spectroscopy. Provides threshold oxidation/reduction
